Monday night was a huge coupe for Goannas, with our big presence on Bronwlow Nights telecast on Channel 7, viewed by more than 2 million viewers around the world.
From blue carpet tragedies to Ronnie Mitchells outstanding representation and interview with Tom Harley, The Goannas international debut on the big screen was a huge success.  There were a lot of smiles and a few frowns inside Biervana during this year’s Brownlow Medal count. Tempers flared about voting choices and many cheers were thrown about as the vote heated up, and overall, the beers and smiles flowed well into the night.
Tokyo’s most glamorous footy wives and girlfriends dazzled on the polished boards, and included a special identical appearance from fashionista’s Mel and Rachael, in their double-take designs, certainly turning some heads and getting chins wagging.
Fair to say we were all a little worried we were going to miss the  coverage, thanks to an interesting presentation taking place, but we figure now, we are all the wiser for understanding the workings of water free urinals now!
The thrilling vote kept us entertained to the last with Swan, beaten as unbackable favourite in 2010, went two places better than his third place finish last year to secure his first Brownlow.
It’s unusual for the room to fill with groans every time a respected player like Sam Mitchell receives a Brownlow Medal vote, but no one wanted the Hawthorn star to take out the AFL’s highest individual honour after finishing in a very close second place, on track to join ex-Footscray star Chris Grant and North Melbourne ruckman Corey McKernan in the ill-famed club of ineligible players to ‘win’ the Brownlow Medal.
All eyes now look forward to Saturdays Grand Final Breakfast at Biervana, and of course, the big clash between Geelong Cats and Collingwood Magpies.
